Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pittsburgh, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

We were visiting Pittsburgh and we knew had to try Kyuramen. We came for dinner so street parking wasn't that bad. Our server was friendly. We got to sit in one of the honeycomb, which was a cute aspect of the restaurant. Their popcorn chicken was good. We really liked the good balance of seasoning for both soups - Sapporo Miso Ramen and Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. We also tried the Honey Platter - it was okay because we already had a separate order of the popcorn chicken. Our combo package with the soups included the desserts, Matcha Pudding with Red Bean and Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly, which we really enjoyed! My husband also ordered a Dirty Brown Sugar boba from TBaar, which was inside the restaurant.

I don't really write lots of reviews on restaurant normally, but I had to do it for Kyuramen since I have been repeatedly visiting this place in the past year. It has become a Saturday night ritual for me to just walk in and order a few dishes with two glasses of Sapporo. Honestly love both the vibe and the food. On top of that, the staff here is also amazing. Especially StanLu, who I almost always ran into on Saturdays, is extremely good at recommending dishes. At this point they already have my prefrences memorized entirely, so I don't even have to order myself. Would recommend this place to everyone in the area!

Clean modern interior with large space. Not crowded at all. I like the quiet alcove seating on the wall. Food pricing was reasonable; ~$25 per person. Food was good but not like the initial instagram hype when the restaurant first opened.

Feb 20 2026 - I ordered the Japanese Chicken curry with rice and loved it. I would recommend getting the stir fried noodles dipped in the Chicken Katsu curry they have. Made a suggestion to the restaurant to add this in their menu : Noodles dipped in Japanese curry. It would be my favorite if they can do that. The deep fried gyoza dumplings (made of chicken) were ok (a mix of sweet spicy sauce was on it). Feb 7 2026- I ate 2 of those Cherry blossom jelly and had I not eaten an appetizer and the ramen bowl before, I would have gone for the third. In fact, I am craving another one now. So so good and bubbly and cute. I was smiling while eating that jelly. Now the shrimp tempura was pretty yummy. And the chicken was blackened and well cooked and definitely tasty. The ramen was really really good. The atmosphere is awesome! Service was pretty good as well. Absolutely recommend this place. Parked/parking at Target but whatever.

The ramen is tasty and really good. The spiciness is quite high at the hottest level, so you may need to be careful when ordering it. The calories per bowl are also pretty high since the soup is very dense and flavorfulβmy order was a little over 1,000 kcal. The seating is cute, and the decoration is chic and chill. For parking, You can park around the building or in the underground parking.
